Matt Sterry

Bringing energy, warmth, and a good dose of chatter to the airwaves, Matthew Sterry is one of the newest voices on the station — but certainly not new to connecting with people. After more than 20 years running pubs and clubs as a General Manager, Matt knows how to make anyone feel welcome, whether they’re walking through the door or tuning in on the dial.

Matt’s journey into Hospital Radio began after losing his dad in March — a man honoured with an MBE for his incredible charity work. Inspired by his father’s legacy, Matt wanted to give something back, and Hospital Radio felt like the perfect place to do it. With his natural charisma and love of talking to absolutely anyone, he hopes not only to brighten patients’ days, but also to make his dad proud.

You may also recognise Matt from a certain TV appearance — yes, he was on Blind Date with Cilla Black back in 2000! From national TV to the world of City Sound, he now hopes to bring smiles, stories, and a bit of joy to everyone who listens.
